At Newstone, we believe that the most important asset of any investment management business is the people. We have a small but collegial team and we strive to create a collaborative environment that provides both a challenging yet rewarding workplace for our employees. We are highly focused on the career development of our employees and we have historically promoted from within the firm rather than relying on lateral hires from other private equity or private credit firms.  This strategy ensures that we maintain our strong firm culture over time.

From time to time, we selectively look to add to our team. We generally look for exceptionally high character candidates with a demonstrated track record of success from top educational institutions along with prior investment banking experience. We currently offer two separate points of entry into our firm. Senior Associate Program

Successful candidates are typically current MBA students that have at least two years of investment banking experience and also often have prior private equity or private credit experience. The Senior Associate is a permanent career track position.  We will occasionally look at candidates that have completed their MBA and are working at another private equity or private credit firm but our strong preference is to promote from within.

Associate Program

Successful candidates must have a minimum of two years of prior investment banking experience. Our associate program is typically two years in duration after which time we encourage our associates to further their development by pursuing their MBA. Newstone takes immense pride in the development of its associates, which has historically culminated in our former employees matriculating into the best business schools in the country.
